1. What Do You Foresee For Your Industry In 2025?
I see Functional Medicine becoming the new mainstream medicine. People are wanting to see better results and Functional Medicine is leading the industry in true wellness and healthcare. I think there is a movement happening in the healthcare industry and I am excited to be a part in leading this movement.
2. How Do You Intend To Influence Your Industry Next Year?
The true definition of a doctor is… teacher. I believe if people are more educated on true health and wellness it is easier for the to achieve optimal health. If we invest in our health now that will pay dividends in the future. We all have the ability to live a long and healthy life once we truly understand was is limiting us from true health. I intend to continue my path of educating the public and giving the opportunity to help people live the best lives.
Dr. Jason Shumard, a Doctor of Chiropractic and Functional Medicine specialist, advocates for a transformative approach to healthcare. Rather than managing symptoms, Dr. Shumard focuses on identifying and treating the root causes of chronic illnesses, inspired by his experience with his mother’s struggle with Type 2 diabetes. This led him to develop a holistic approach centered on Functional Medicine, which considers each patient’s unique lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors.
At his San Diego practice, Dr. Shumard has achieved remarkable results with patients suffering from conditions like autoimmune diseases and chronic pain, with a particular focus on reversing Type 2 diabetes. He believes that Functional Medicine should become the primary approach to treating chronic illnesses.
Additionally, Dr. Shumard is dedicated to mentoring other healthcare professionals, helping them adopt holistic approaches, and building strong doctor-patient relationships to foster long-term healing.
