I have always loved reading - learning new things and letting my imagination wander as an author prompts new thoughts and ideas.
My two boys are now 6 and 8 years old and I take great pleasure in reading to them in an evening and then later heading upstairs to check they are asleep and finding them sat up in bed with their torches on, devouring another David Williams book (good job he is so prolific…). It’s a great reminder of the simple joy of reading, and a constant inspiration to finish the day by picking up a book myself.
I tend to mix up what I am reading and keep a balance between fact and fiction, with anything relating to business, history or geography being particular non-fiction favourites. If you open your mind then you can always find ideas and lessons in books that are relevant in one way or another to day-to-day life.
