‘But I should have started earlier’, says 33-year-old entrepreneur
AT THE relatively tender age of 33, Billy Gunn already runs business with an annual turnover of £2million. But despite his success, Gunn feels he should have started earlier!
“People are always telling me I got into business really young, but I just wish I had got going even younger so I could have tackled obstacles sooner and been even further along the path,” says Gunn, who has a heating and allied trades company that services landmark buildings across the UK.
“Three years ago, I was at the point where my company, Imperial Heating, had five engineers and two office staff, and I was stressed out just marking time, let alone trying to take the company to a higher level. I wasn’t making any real progress. I was just treading water. I simply didn’t have the knowledge. Yes, I did what I did well, but that was it.
