In the era of rapid technological advancements, AI is revolutionising the way we live and interact with our surroundings. From streamlining communication to transforming our homes into intelligent living spaces, AI’s impact is profound and far-reaching. Today, AI-driven systems are not just enhancing our daily conveniences but are fundamentally changing our lifestyles.

The rise of AI and technological advancements is not just a trend; it’s a transformative force that promises substantial returns. According to Forbes, numerous billionaires are amassing significant wealth from AI advancements, indicating a broader shift among the affluent towards tech investments. This trend is fuelled by the understanding that AI and technology are not only reshaping industries but also creating new opportunities for growth and profitability.

While AI brings numerous benefits, it also accelerates the capabilities of cybercriminals. According to Forbes, data breaches surged by 73% between 2021 and 2023, with emails being the primary target for malware attacks. This dramatic increase highlights the darker side of technological advancements, where the same innovations that enhance our lives are also exploited for malicious activities.

AI tools are being used to craft more sophisticated phishing scams and hack into secure systems, making it easier for criminals to breach sensitive information. As a result, cybersecurity has become a critical concern, emphasizing the need for robust protective measures in our increasingly digital world.

As digital criminals become more sophisticated, so do their on-foot counterparts. Reports indicate a significant rise in traditional thefts employing advanced tactics such as sophisticated unlocking devices and drones. These criminals now use technology to their advantage, mirroring the complexity seen in cybercrimes. The integration of modern tools into physical thefts demonstrates a troubling trend where both digital and traditional criminals enhance their methods to outsmart existing security measures.

In May 2023, the DVLA revealed that the Range Rover Velar R-Dyn was the most sought-after car by criminals, with two in every 100 models stolen. Remarkably, Range Rover was identified as the most stolen car brand in the UK, with 924 thefts per 100,000 vehicles in the 12 months leading up to March 2023.

Additionally, Range Rover models comprised six of the top ten most stolen cars overall. This trend highlights that as thieves become more sophisticated, they increasingly target luxury brands, indicating a shift towards targeting more affluent individuals.

An alarming example of thieves targeting affluent individuals is the burglary that occurred at Jack Grealish’s home in December 2023. During this incident, nearly £1 million worth of valuables were stolen while his family were in the house, unaware of the intrusion.

As a high-profile footballer, his schedule is well-publicized, making his home a clear target for sophisticated criminals. This not only jeopardises his valuables but also puts his family at significant risk. If such an incident can happen to Jack Grealish, it underscores the vulnerability of other footballers and celebrities to similar threats.

It’s not all doom and gloom because as thieves improve so do the companies willing to protect their customers, but it does mean that its important now more than ever for people to protect their homes from sophisticated criminals with sophisticated home security system.

With advances in the market companies are now using more advanced products than your standard intruder alarm, while it alerts you when someone is at your door or window, it’s more important for customers to know intruders are there before they even get to your home or family. Products like Lidar and Radar paired with CCTV and a smart home allow for alerts as well as visual verification before they even reach you.

Well, that’s exactly what 26 entrepreneur Henry at Cabled & Co. set out to do. Whilst pursuing his Master of Science in User Experience Design at Birmingham City University, his mind was constantly on two passions: Music and Smart Technology.

No journey is ever easy for a young ambitious entrepreneur, but Henry set about to be different having read in the press and social media various headline articles about celebrities and sports stars like Tamara Ecclestone, Frank Lampard and Jack Grealish being burgled Henry decided to rip up the rule book.

Reimaging smart technology rather than the conventional beautiful lighting and sound systems, that are integrated into the control system why not harness the power of smart technology and integrate it from the outside in, protecting the property so that an intruder can never get near the doors or windows let alone your family or valuables. Attacking that gap in the market that so desperately needed attention.

By integrating sophisticated radar technology originally developed for the Military and combining this with CCTV, smart lighting, broadcasted audio and AI analytics, Henry set about designing a programme that would integrate into the smart control system.

Imagine sitting at home, watching TV or listening to music, knowing there’s an invisible security blanket protecting your property. If someone breaches the radar zone around your property, your entertainment pauses, and you’re alerted via phone, tablet, or TV. The property lights up, and an audible message informs the intruder that the police have been notified.

Alternatively, if you and your family are away on business or on holiday there is always an invisible blanket protecting your property and land (up to 1500 metres in every direction) and at the touch of a button on your phone tablet or laptop, you can access your CCTV, survey your property and have the comfort of knowing your cars and valuables are safe.
