Kenya Roberson goes on to explain how these new trends will effect companies and their approach to sustainability. Again, consumers are demanding more from the businesses they interact with. For over a decade, Kenya has been deeply involved in the clothing wholesale industry. She began her career working for Herve Leger, where she focused on styling and selling a wide variety of dresses.

During this time, she also worked as a freelance model, which allowed her to build valuable connections with industry leaders. Her interest in the apparel resale industry quickly grew, leading her to join a wholesale company specialising in exports. Over several years, she acquired extensive industry knowledge, including expertise in logistics.

1. What Do You Foresee For Your Industry In 2025?

In 2025, I foresee a significant shift in the fashion industry toward greater sustainability and circular practices. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the environmental impact of fashion, and this will push brands to adopt more transparent and eco-conscious production methods.

I also predict a surge in the use of recycled materials and partnerships that prioritize reducing waste. Technology will play a vital role, from digital inventory management to innovations in textile recycling, which will further streamline how the industry minimises waste.

2. How Do You Intend To Influence Your Industry Next Year?

Next year, my goal is to set a higher standard for sustainable practices in the garment distribution sector through Elite Garment Distro. I plan to expand partnerships with brands committed to reducing their environmental footprint and provide solutions for managing surplus inventory responsibly.

By collaborating with forward-thinking designers and organisations, I aim to amplify the message that sustainable fashion is not just a trend but the future. Additionally, I’ll work on educating consumers and other businesses about the importance of recycling and reusing materials, ultimately pushing the industry closer to a zero waste model.
